01 | So How Does The Coaching Exchange Work Exactly? Two Chairs Coaching Exchange operates as a membership-based referral program designed to connect practitioners in a collaborative professional network.Upon joining, members complete a detailed individual profile, outlining their areas of expertise, coaching modalities, professional focus, and specific interests.Simultaneously, members communicate their own goals and the criteria they are looking for in a coach within the network. Leveraging this information, Two Chairs facilitates matches between members for a reciprocal exchange: you provide coaching hours to a colleague, and in turn, you receive coaching that aligns with your specific professional needs.Important Clarification: It is crucial to understand that Two Chairs Coaching Exchange is not a coaching firm, and no coaching is offered directly by Two Chairs. Rather, it serves as a referral platform and a networking space for professionals. Each member assumes full responsibility for their independent practice, while Two Chairs facilitates the connections, resources, and the environment for professional collaboration. At Two Chairs Coaching Exchange, our commitment is to create a thriving community where practitioners can engage in meaningful connections, sharpen their skills, and contribute to the professional evolution of their peers.

02
Two Chairs Coaching Exchange originated in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, but our professional network spans the entire country. We do not have a centralized physical office, as each member manages their own independent coaching practice, which can be situated in any province or territory across Canada. Currently, membership in the exchange and access to the resource hub is exclusive to practitioners located or working within Canada.
03
Matching within the Coaching Exchange follows a peer-to-peer model. Once the system identifies a suitable partner based on your profile and professional goals, you will be introduced via the platform. From there, you and your partner coordinate your scheduling directly. We suggest a default 1-hour session to start, allowing you both to establish a rapport and adjust the frequency or duration of your coaching exchange as you see fit.

04
Membership is available to practitioners across Canada who are dedicated to professional development and high standards of practice. To join, members must be both willing and able to offer coaching sessions to fellow community members, reciprocally receiving coaching from the community in return if they so choose.Beyond the exchange, membership is designed for those looking to integrate modern resources into their work, providing full access to our research summaries, AI tools, and the coaching technique library.
05
We utilize a three-tier, "pay-what-you-can" model to ensure the community remains accessible while supporting the growth of our resource hub. You choose the level that best fits your current circumstances:Community Supported: $10/monthFair Rate: $15/monthHelping Hands: $20/monthAll tiers provide the exact same level of access to matching, AI tools, research, and the technique library.

06 | What information is shared in the member profile? Only what you choose to share. The information we collect during sign-up is used strictly for facilitating coaching matches. You maintain full control over your member profile and decide the depth of information you wish to disclose to the community.07 | I don't work in an independent coaching practice; can I still join? Absolutely! Many of our members find value in the Practitioner Toolkit regardless of their practice setting. The resource hub—including research summaries, coaching technique libraries, and custom AI tools—is designed to be helpful for any professional looking to sharpen their skills. You decide which resources and frameworks are right for your specific context.08 | Who is responsible for coaching notes, agreements, and professional standards? Regarding file management, documentation, and professional standards, our members typically leverage their existing systems and software within their own professional practices. It is essential to emphasize that Two Chairs Coaching Exchange is not a coaching firm, and our members do not serve as representatives or employees of the exchange. Two Chairs facilitates connections among practitioners for reciprocal coaching. Upon joining, members function as independent practitioners and assume full responsibility for meeting the duties, ethical standards, and professional requirements of their coaching practice. This includes maintaining appropriate records and ensuring proper professional liability coverage where applicable.09 | I'm not sure the coach I was matched with is a good fit for me. What should I do? If you find that a coaching partnership isn't the right fit, we encourage open communication. Clear dialogue is the foundation of a successful coaching relationship. If, after addressing your concerns directly with your partner, you still feel the fit is unsuitable, please reach out to us at [email protected] or via the Contact tab. We are happy to assist in finding an alternative partner within the network. We will always facilitate a match change in cases of dual relationships or conflicts of interest.10 | I’m so happy this exists! How can I help?
